Amazing How This Family Grows 6,000 lbs Of Food on Just 1/10th Acre!

In this video, you will meet the Dervaes family, a family who prides itself on being at the forefront of urban homesteading.
6000lb-food
On just a 4,000 square foot area in Southern California, this family is able to grow enough organic fruit and vegetables to feed themselves, and have enough left over to sell to local chefs and restaurants on a daily basis. They call their urban homestead the Path to Freedom.
It all started when the head of the family decided that he did not want to provide his children with genetically modified foods, but wholesome, organic, and healthy foods instead. He dreamed of being able to provide all of this for his family himself. Now, after years of hard work and dedication, his dream is a reality.

The Dervaes family is completely self sufficient and love every minute of it. They grow and produce all of their own food, from the fruits and vegetables, to the eggs their chickens provide. They eat a vegetarian diet, and base their meals on what is in season.
Each family member has a specific duty to carry out, from taking care of the animals, to meal planning and canning, to tending the crops and making sure they get the most out of their small space.
It’s a dream many people have, living off the land and providing for themselves, and by watching this video, you can see that it is possible, even in small spaces, and that you too, can find yourself on the path to freedom.
